COMMISSIONS ARE A HIT AT BRIGHTON FESTIVAL

We are delighted to share that Digital Democracies commissions by Kaleider and Arch468 have been warmly received by audiences and critics alike at the recent Brighton Festival.

Both projects provided a creative outlet and a sense of connection, each using digital tech to bridge the socially-distanced gap following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kaleider’s A Portrait Without Borders has come a long way since it was first imagined as a provocative peek at privacy and surveillance, as reported by the Brighton and Hove Independent.  In response to the lockdown Kaleider decided to use smartphone technology to unite people (in the form of a giant mural) at a time when we couldn’t gather together in public spaces.

Meanwhile, HERstory captivated festival attendees with its immersive storytelling which guided locals and visitors on a trail across the city.  The project, led by Creative Director Stef O’Driscoll gave voice to the stories of Brighton women. Broadway Baby were among those praising the moving, intimate audio trail that offered insights into our individual and shared experiences of the lockdown. The site chose the project as one of its Top Picks To Enjoy at Brighton Festival. And we couldn’t agree more.

Did you enjoy either of these projects while taking in the sea air in Brighton this May?

We’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback if you did!
