Access to information and opportunity is central to the ethos of Digital Democracies.
Since 2021, as part of Digital Democracies Artist Development Programme, artists and creatives were called to look at new ways to explore, share and develop their practice. Digital Democracies is committed to sharing accessible skills development and knowledge cascade.
Our Artist Development Programme is designed to consult with artists, creatives and hobbyists to connect, share and explore new digital skills and insight that can accelerate interrogation of digital and emerging practice.
Throughout 2020 and 2021 we experimented with a talks and development programme that was free to access. You can access and connect with the video recordings and materials here.
The masterclasses and tech talks are free to participate in, and are open to all career levels.
In order to help out emerging artists in their endeavour to incorporate advanced technologies into their work, and draw inspiration from already successful projects, Digital Democracies have organised a series of masterclasses. We are all witnesses to how profoundly digital technologies are changing the way audiences consume art in public spaces, leading to new challenges and exciting opportunities. Digital innovation is driven through experimentation. We’re here to equip you with the skills and confidence to do just that: experiment and play. Join leading artists and professionals for the chance to expand your knowledge across a wide range of topics.
Four Tech Talks cover a range of topics and expertise levels. They feature technical deep dives and live workshops with our experts. Each session focuses on different technology and best practices. It offers a hands-on workshop giving the participants a chance to learn new tools that they can incorporate in their artistic practice to further shape the industry.
